Dad's Swedish Meatballs
1 egg, lightly beaten
1/2 c. milk
1 c. soft brad crumbs
1/2 c. finely chopped onion
1/4 tsp. ground nutmeg
1/4 tsp. pepper
1 pound ground beef
1/4 c. butter, cubed
Dill Cream Sauce
2 TBS. all-purpose flour
1 c. heavy whipping cream
1 c. beef broth
1/2 tsp. dill seed
1. In a large bowl, combine the first seven ingredients.
2. Crumble beef over mixture; mix well.
3. Shape into balls; cook in large skillet with the butter until no longer pink; remove and keep warm.
4. In a bowl, combine the sauce ingredients until blended; put in skillet; ; bring to a boil; and stir for 2 minutes or until thickened. Serve over meatballs.
